Solidaridad Deutschland e.V.
Civil society organization
Solidaridad is a global non-governmental organization that aims to improve the living conditions of smallholder farmers in agricultural value chains worldwide. Its approach is to shape globalization according to a bottom-up principle, based on our network of local experts with professional know-how for project and program implementation.
Solidaridad has a clear focus on value chains and therefore relies on close cooperation with private sector actors. Solidaridad develops approaches and measures to bring about lasting change in production conditions through targeted projects. The aim is to help increase and diversify the incomes of smallholder farmers. In addition, the various measures also address other crucial global issues, such as combating hunger and malnutrition, improving the position of women in agriculture, and adapting agricultural production to climate change.
Since 2018, Solidaridad has had its own entity in Germany – Solidaridad Deutschland e.V. – that's us! As part of the global network, which comprises a total of 38 countries, we are now trying to implement projects in the field of sustainable and fair value chains for and with companies and actors based in Germany.
